Born and raised in the City of Joy, Kolkata, Devamalya De was destined to dance with words. With a mother deeply immersed in English literature and a father rooted in Bengali prose and engineering, storytelling ran in his veins like an unbroken legacy. Inspired by Tagore, he penned his first Bengali poem in Class 5, a spark that soon ignited into an undying passion for literature.

Yet, life had another canvas for him. A Civil Engineer by profession, he found poetry not just in verses but in the very foundations of construction—sculpting skylines with bricks, steel, and stone, much like he crafts emotions with ink and paper.
